Welcome!

“The nitrogen cycle is changing faster than that of any other element.” United Nations Environment Programme.

Human consumption has caused considerable environmental changes.  The human alteration of the Nitrogen cycle is not well documented outside of scientific literature, and, unlike anthropogenic climate change, it has not featured greatly in mainstream media.   However, the nitrogen cycle has been greatly affected by human processes, particularly industrial agriculture and, given the importance of the nitrogen cycle to supporting life, the impacts are potentially critical.  This issue will be the subject of my blog!
